GlobaLokal’s goal is to combine a cohousing project with activities promoting social development. More specifically, we want to foster a culture of welcome and acceptance in German society, thereby building bridges between cultures and social groups and increasing international understanding. Our approach is inclusive and uses social engagement in the community to reduce prejudices based on heritage, age and disability.

GlobaLokal – Cohousing and Social Engagement. The name says it all:

Global means that our members have gained valuable experience in situations requiring social integration and cultural exchange in Germany and abroad.

Lokal means that our members want to live together in the same building. We also want to offer temporary housing to foreign students, foreign workers and students completing their training.
